Getting started
Welcome to Acme Design Studio - the collaborative design tool built for modern teams.
Installation
Acme is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
macOS
Download the latest version from our website:
brew install --cask acme-design
Or download directly: Download for Mac
Windows
winget install Acme.DesignStudio
Linux
sudo snap install acme-design
Creating Your First Project
Once installed, launch Acme and create your first project:
- Click New Project or press
Cmd+N - Choose a template or start from scratch
- Name your project
- Click Create
The Interface
Acme’s interface is divided into four main areas:
- Toolbar - Tools for creating and editing
- Layers Panel - Organize your design elements
- Properties Panel - Adjust properties of selected objects
- Canvas - Your design workspace
Basic Tools
Rectangle Tool (R)
Create rectangular shapes by clicking and dragging on the canvas.
Text Tool (T)
Add text to your designs. Click anywhere on the canvas to start typing.
Pen Tool (P)
Create custom vector shapes with the pen tool. Click to add anchor points.
Selection Tool (V)
Select and move objects. Hold Shift to select multiple objects.

Collaboration
Acme makes it easy to work with your team:
- Click Share in the top right
- Enter email addresses of team members
- Set permissions (View, Edit, or Admin)
- Click Invite
Team members can edit in real-time and see each other’s cursors.
Exporting Your Work
Export your designs in various formats:
- Select the artboards you want to export
- Click File → Export
- Choose format (PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF)
- Set quality and size
- Click Export
